Opportunity to pay homage to the statue of deity Saman and the casket of relics placed at the Pelmadulla Vihara until this evening

With the Sri Pada pilgrimage season ending on Vesak Poya Day, the statue of the deity Saman and jewellery have by now been placed at the Pelmadulla Rajamaha Vihara.

Accordingly, the Chief Incumbent of Sri Pada Venerable Bengamuwe Dhammadinna thero said that devotees can pay homage and worship the statue until 3 this evening.

Later this casket of relics, the statue of deity Saman and the jewellery will be taken to the Pelmadulla Galpoththawela Rajamaha Vihara and until the Sri Pada pilgrimage season arrives again will be placed there.

The casket of relics which was placed in the sacred area of Sri Pada, the statue of deity Saman and jewellery were brought to Nallathanniya by officers and soldiers of the Laxapana Army Camp, jointly.
