A mother who engaged in a fast to get her child admitted to Grade One, hospitalize

A mother who engaged in a fast unto death saying her child was not being admitted to Grade One, on top of a roof of the Rajapaksa Primary School building has been hospitalized at the Tangalle Base Hospital in a critical condition.

Our Correspondent said that this woman who lives close to the school had begun her fast yesterday (21) at dawn.

It is said that while the mother was engaged in the fast, the small child dressed in school uniform had been standing opposite the school with her grandmother.

Our Correspondent further said that a Suwaseriya Ambulance was arranged and the mother in a serious condition was admitted to the Tangalle Base Hospital.
