Permanent high court at bar fixes dates for the case against Gotabaya

The three-judge special High Court today ordered that the case filed against 07 individuals including the former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa be taken up for hearing on 19th June.

The case was filed alleging that when constructing the Medamulana D. A. Rajapaksa Memorial Museum, government finances had been misused.

Summons were issued to the four witnesses of the Plaintiff to be present in Court.

At the same time permission was granted to former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa to go to Singapore for medical treatment from tomorrow until 2nd June.

It was the Attorney General who had filed this case against the seven defendants including the former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa at the special High Court alleging that a sum of 33.9 million rupees had been misused when constructing the D. A. Rajapaksa Memorial Museum.
