Madumadawa seeks anticipatory bail from the Supreme Court

The two brothers and the sister of Kochchikade St Anthony church suicide bomber, Alawdeen Ahamed Muwath were produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate for a judicial review today.

Magistrate Lanka Jayarathna ordered to produce them before the court again on May 27th.

In addition, the court was told that the three suspects are being questioned under a detention order obtained from the Defence Ministry.

Meanwhile, bodies of another two victims of the Kochchikade church bomb attack were handed over to their relatives after the autopsies were called before the magistrate.

At the same time, deputy leader of Pivituru Hela Urumaya, Madumadava Aravinda has filed a fundamental rights case seeking anticipatory bail with regard to the Minuwangoda clashes.

The petitioner has named Minuwangoda OIC, Gampaha SSP, Acting IGP, the Attorney general and several others as respondents.
