All private and Sri Lanka Transport Board buses plying from Hatton to Kandy have launched a strike today (24).

This strike was launched in objection to allocating a separate place without roof covering near the Nawalapitiya Railway Station to park buses.

Our Correspondent said that this road is used by about 67 private and SLTB buses daily.

The bus employees engaged in the strike, request that they be allowed to take in all buses to the Nawalapitiya Bus Stand according to the previous system and take on passengers travelling from Hatton to Kandy.
