The Bio Gas project at the Southern Navy Camp re-commences

Steps have been taken to re-commence the Bio Gas Project at the Southern Navy Camp.

The Southern Provincial Council Power and Environmental Affairs Ministry has provided technical support on use of scraps of food that are disposed of, for this Project.

The main objective of this is to produce renewable energy and it is intended to minimize the quantity of carbon that is added to the environment.

The Navy said that the Project was inactive for a period of about two months.
