10 houses damaged in Padiyathalawa

10 houses were damaged due to strong winds experienced along with heavy showers in Padiyathalawa yesterday.

The Met Department said that Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Uva province and in Polonnaruwa, Batticaloa and Ampara districts, particularly after 2 pm.

Fairly heavy falls above 50 mm can be expected at some places in Western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa Central and Uva provinces.
