The Appeal Court issues notice to Professor Sarath Wijesuriya to be present in Court

Professor Sarath Wijesuriya was issued with notice to be present in Court on 21 of next month to give facts on the allegation that he insulted the Judiciary.

This was when the case was taken up for hearing in the presence of Appeal Court judges Deepali Wijesundera and Achala Wengappuli today.

A retired Army officer and a lawyer had filed a case at the Appeal Court against Professor Sarath Wijesuriya saying that he had issued statements that were in contempt of Court.
