15 of the suspects in the Minuwangoda incident released on bail – four freed

Another 15 suspects who had been arrested and remanded in connection with the unrest that took place in Minuwangoda have been released on bail today.

Our Hiru Court Correspondent said that subsequent to the suspects being produced before the Minuwangoda Magistrate Kesara Samaradiwakara they were released on two hundred thousand rupees surety bail each.

Anyhow, the Police informed the Court that legal action will be taken against them in the future under the provisions of the Penal Code.

Four more suspects who had been arrested in connection with this incident were exonerated and released since facts were revealed in Court that they were not connected to the incidents.
