IGP to the Supreme Court

IGP Pujith Jayasundera has filed a fundamental rights petition at the Supreme Court today stating that his removal from his post is unlawful.

A group including the Constitutional Council have been named as respondents and our Hiru Court Reporter said that it has been requested in the petition that an order be issued that the decision made by the President to remove him from his post is unlawful.
