CID and State Intelligence Heads to appear before Select Committee on 4th June

The Special Select Committee appointed for studying and reporting about the Easter Sunday Terrorist attack is scheduled to meet again on the 4th of next month.

A committee member said that the meeting was scheduled to begin at 3 pm on that day at the Parliamentary complex.

The CID Head and the State Intelligence Division Head have been summoned to the committee on that day.

Defence Secretary, Retired General Shantha Kottegoda and National Intelligence Head, Retired Senior DIG Sisira Mendis gave evidence before the Select Committee yesterday.

While the Special Select Committee for studying and reporting about the Easter Sunday Terrorist attack to parliament met for the first time on 23rd May, the meeting on 4th of next month will be the committee’s third meeting.
