The Opposition’s Ombudsman’s office to commence on June 3

On the instructions of Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa an Ombudsman’s office is to be opened to accept complaints regarding fraud, corruption, unlawful activities as well as political revenge that took place from the year 2015 up to now, in government, semi-government and private sectors.

Accordingly, this office will be set up on 3 June at the Opposition Leader’s office at Sir Marcus Fernando Mawatha, Colombo at 10.00 am.

In a statement issued the Opposition Leader’s office said that this Ombudsman’s office will be in operation under members of the Opposition from 9 in the morning to 12 noon on all five weekdays.
