Secretariat Railway Station re-opened from today

The Secretariat Railway Station on the coastal railway line that was closed temporarily due to the security situation in the country subsequent to the bomb blasts that took place will be reopened from today.

The Railway Control Room said that this Railway Station will be open only for office trains.

Accordingly, a special security procedure has been set up to ensure the protection of commuters and the Railway Control Room said that travel facilities be made use of only through the special doors established.

At the same time, transporting of parcels via trains which had been temporarily suspended as a result of the security environment in the country will begin again today.
