Complaints against 2 doctors in Peradeniya as well

Former Central Provincial Councillor Thushara Swarnatilleke has lodged a complaint with the Peradeniya police regarding an irregularity that occurred during a Caesarian operation that was performed at the Peradeniya teaching hospital in 2013.

Expressing his views to media yesterday after lodging the complaint the former councillor said that a female doctor and a male doctor serving at the Peradeniya teaching hospital had done various wrongdoings to mothers who came for child delivery.

Similarly the committee inquiring about arrested Kurunegala Teaching hospital Obstetrics and Gynaecology Dr. Seigu Siyaabeen Mohamed Saafi is scheduled to submit its interim report today.

Reports say that it was not possible to hand over this report to the health ministry yesterday because the preparation of it had not been completed.

Acting Health Services Director General Dr. Lal Panaapitiya said that the report would be submitted to the health ministry this forenoon.
