Minister Patali says Rishard should resign from his post

If independent investigations are to be carried out regarding allegations targeting Minister Rishard Bathiudeen, Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka says that he should resign from his Ministerial post.

The Minister made this comment at a media briefing summoned yesterday in Colombo by the Jathika Hela Urumaya.

Anyhow, representatives of local government institutes of the All Ceylon People’s Congress of which Minister Rishard Bathiudeen is the leader, at a media briefing held in Colombo yesterday said that the Opposition is making allegations so as to ensure that their leader is removed politically.

On this occasion, former Provincial Council members of the Ceylon People’s Congress P. Jayatilleke and Mohammed Faiz expressed their views.  

Anyhow Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka points out that a proper, formal investigation should be done in connection with the allegations targeting Minister Rishard Bathiudeen.
