President orders the release of Muslims not linked to terrorist activities

President Maithripala Sirisena says that if racial clashes are created the country will be destroyed, and therefore all should act with fraternal and mutual understanding and dedicate themselves to safeguard the country’s peace.

The President said so while participating at the National Ifthar celebration held on behalf of the country’s Muslims at the Fort President’s Residence yesterday.

On this occasion the President said further that instructions had been given for setting free all who were not linked to terrorist activities.
