Mussamil appointed as Western Provincial governor

A.J.M.  Musammil has been appointed as the new governor of the Western Province.

President Media Unit stated that Musammil was sworn into the new post before President Maithripala Sirisena today.

Earlier, governor Musammil functioned as the Colombo Mayor and the Sri Lankan High Commissioner in Malaysia.

He was the chairman of the Central Environment Authority when the president appointed him as the Western Provincial Governor.
