735 complaints received against the Kurunegala doctor

735 complaints have been received so far against Dr. Seigu Sihabdeen Mohammed Safi attached to the Kurunegala teaching hospital who is currently in police custody.

70 complaints have been received by the Kurunegala hospital during the course of yesterday while 21 complaints had been received by the Dambulla hospital.

Further a public petition with the aim of obtaining 1 million signatures together with the hospital staff of the Kurunegala district hospital, demanding an unbiased committee be appointed to investigate into the respective doctor was initiated yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Pivituru hela urumaya lodged a complaint at the Sri Lanka Medical Council demanding an unbiased investigation be conducted into Dr. Seigu Sihabdeen Mohammed Safi who is currently in custody.
