President Maithripala Sirisena says that in the future steps would be taken regarding granting permission to Civil Defence Department members to retire with pension if they have completed 22 years of service or reached 50 years.

The President said so while participating last afternoon at the function for declaring open the Department's headquarter building constructed in Katubedda in Moratuwa.
