Removal of oil residue from the Dehiwela beach almost completed

The Marine Environment Protection Authority said that removal and cleaning of the oil residue which soiled the beach from Mount Lavinia up to Wellawatte has almost been completed.

The General Manager of the Marine Environment Protection Authority, Dr. Terney Pradeep Kumara said that investigations are underway in search of the ship that disposed of fuel into the sea.
