120 kilos of Kerala Cannabis caught in Kilinochchi

More than 120 kilograms of Kerala Cannabis valued at approximately Rs. 15 million were taken into custody together with two individuals at Chundikulam, Kilinochchi.

The Police said that this stock of Cannabis was taken into custody based on a tip-off received by the Superintendent of Police in charge of the Kilinochchi Division while being transported in a lorry.

It is said that the Cannabis was hidden among roofing sheets.

The suspects taken into custody are residents of Kilinochchi, Palai and Vavuniya.
