AG informs the Acting IGP that motorcyclists wearing full face helmets could be arrested under Emergency Regulations.

The Attorney General has advised the acting IGP that the motorcyclists who are wearing full-face helmets could be arrested and prosecuted under the prevailing Emergency Regulations.

The Acting IGP has been informed that such action could be taken according to the provisions provided under the Extraordinary Gazette issued recently.

In addition, provisions are available to take such action according to the Gazette No 39 issued on February 23 2017.
