Testifying before the select committee, Pujitha Jayasundera says he knew something could have happened on Easter Sunday

IGP Pujith Jayasundera stated today that the head of the State Intelligence told him over the phone on the eve of the Easter Sunday attacks and the early morning of the tragic day that something could happen.

IGP Jayasundera who has been sent on compulsory leave revealed this before the parliament select committee which is inquiring into the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.

Former DIG of the TID, Nalaka de Silva, defence secretary, retired General Shantha Kottegoda and National Intelligence head, retired senior DIG Sisira Mendis testified before the committee on previous occasions.
