Three arrested in Negombo with a number of Communication Equipment

During a raid carried out at dawn today in Eththukala – Negombo by the Police Special Task Force three persons were taken into custody with a number of communication equipment in their possession.

Police Media Spokesman, SP Ruwan Gunasekera said that 402 iPhones where data was active, 17,400 SIM cards, 60 Routers and some powerful communication equipment were taken into custody.

Two Sri Lankans and a Chinese national were taken into custody together with this equipment and it has been revealed that these persons had been engaged in fraud in communication procedures, especially when obtaining international calls.
