Muslim Ministers who resigned meet with Opposition Leader

A special discussion was held between Muslim Ministers who resigned from their positions and Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa.

This was at the Opposition Leader’s Official residence located at Wijerama Mawatha.

Meanwhile, the resigned Muslim Ministers had met with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday.

Meanwhile, a Gazette has been issued confirming that all Muslim Ministers, State and Deputy Ministers have resigned from their positions.

The gazette issued with the signature of President’s Secretary Udaya R Senevirathna includes 9 names.

Accordingly, the gazette says that Rauf Hakeem, Kabir Hashim, Rishard Bathiudeen and Abdul Haleem who functioned as Ministers, Mohomad Faizal Kasim, Mohomad Haris, Amir Ali and Ali Sabeer Moulana who served as State Ministers as well as Abdulla  Maharoof who functioned as a Deputy Minister have resigned from their posts.

Meanwhile, the National Freedom Front says that a period of one month would be insufficient to investigate allegations against certain Muslim Ministers.
