The Court ordered today that the 8 suspects who were involved in the accident which killed the Borella Traffic Officer-In-Charge who was traveling on his motorbike who have been released on bail be referred to the Government Analyst.

The Colombo Additional Magistrate Shalani Perera ordered that the eight suspects be produced before the Government Analyst day after tomorrow.

The Defence lawyers requested the Court that the Defender vehicle which caused the accident be released.

However, the Police objected to it since the Defender is a vehicle that has been assembled here.

The Defender ran over the motorcycle on which the Borella Traffic OIC Inspector of Police Ananda Sagara Sarathchandra was riding on at the Dupli-Bullers Junction on Galle Road Bambalapitiya on 24 February and then fled the scene. The vehicle was later discovered in Battaramulla.
