Three shops in the town of Katupotha on fire

Three shops in the town of Katupotha – Kurunegala caught fire and have been destroyed.

The Police said that the fire broke out last night and that the Kurunegala Municipal Council Fire Brigade, Police and residents of the area doused the fire.

Meanwhile, due to smoke that was detected in a building in the Colombo DIG’s office at dawn this morning, the Colombo Fire Brigade had deployed several Fire trucks.

Anyhow, during later inspection, it was revealed that the smoke had been emitted through the air-conditioning system of the building.
