Singapore police say that a follower of Saharan Hashim has been arrested along with another suspect.

It is reported that the 36 year old Kuthubdeen Haja Najumdeen is the owner of a money changing company.

It has been revealed that this man who follows Saharan Hashim has provided financial support to the National Tawheed Jamaat organisation.

It is reported that the other 47 year old Singaporean suspect arrested, has been planning on connecting with the IS in Syria.

Meanwhile, Colombo Crimes Division has arrested a close associate of the leader of the National Tauhid Jamaat Organization, Saharan Hashim.

A spokesman for the Colombo Crimes Division told our news team that he was arrested at his residence in Nawalapitiya during a special search operation yesterday.

It is reported that the 25 year old had undergone arms training at the Hambantota camp with Saharan.

In addition, the 14 suspects who had received arms training with Saharan Hashim, attended his lectures and provided him with houses in the Samanthurai and Nindavur areas were produced before the Magistrate’s Courts in Samanthurai and Kalmunai by the Police Crimes Division.

All of them were remanded until the 7th of next month by the respective courts.
