Wildlife officers of Haputale have arrested three suspects with possession of 04 Elephant Tusk Pearls (Gajamuthu) and several animal bones in the Akkaraseeya area in Haputale.

It is reported that the arrested persons are residents of the same area.

It is suspected that the ‘Gajamuthu’ in their possession were to be sold.

The raid was carried out on a tip off received by wildlife officers of the Tangamalle forest in Haputale.

The suspects are to be produced before the Bandarawela Magistrate's Court today (08).
