The Letter signed by UNP MP’s requesting to convene the working committee and parliamentary group to choose the UNP candidate was handed over to the Prime Minister.

It is reported that Over 55 UNP MP’s have signed the letter and majority of them favour UNP Deputy Leader Sajith Premadasa.

It is also reported that one of the proposals is to hold a secret vote to select the Presidential candidate.
