Removal of clinical waste which has been disposed without proper health protective measures in the Moneragala - Sevanagala - Samagipura area has commenced.

The Hiru correspondent of the area reports that the removal of the clinical waste disposed improperly has commenced with the use of excavator machines (backhoes).

The hospital clinical waste dumped improperly was discovered recently in a land near the Kiriibbanara tank in Samagipura, Sevanagala.

Syringes used for blood sampling, human body parts and waste with government logos were among the clinical waste buried in the land.
