WINDS+WILL+INCREASE+IN+SEA+AREAS
The Department of Meteorology stated that the wind speeds can increase up to 60 to 70 kmph in the sea areas off the coast extending from Hambantota to Pottuvil.

The statement issued by the department states that the sea area is likely to be very rough from time to time.

The statement further states that wind speeds may increase up to 60 kmph in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Trincomalee via Mannar and Kankesanthurai.

The Department of Meteorology informs the public that strong winds around 70-80 kmph could be temporarily experienced in the rest of the sea areas around the island during thundershowers.
