Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has been summoned to appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry.

The Prime Minister has been informed to come before the Commission to testify at 9.30 am on the 12th of this month.

The Presidential Commission of Inquiry stated that the order was sent by fax today to the Prime Minister's Office and the Temple Trees.

A spokesperson for the commission stated that they will also ensure to handover the notice to the Temple Trees tomorrow.

The notice has been issued to inquire into to the cabinet paper submitted by the Prime Minster to take over the Agrarian House occupied by the Ministry of Agriculture in order to house the sectoral oversight committees of parliament. 

In addition to this, evidence is to be obtained from the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe regarding the Ministry of Agriculture which was relocated to a building in Rajagiriya.
