The MET department states that the prevailing showery condition over the south-western part of the island is expected to reduce by some extent from tomorrow.

However, rain could lash sporadically in the Western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western provinces and in the districts of Mannar and Jaffna.

80 thousand of 9 districts have been affected due to the inclement weather that hit the island in the past few days.

At the same time, National Building Research Organization stated that the landslide warning is further extended for the districts of Kalutara, Kegalle, Galle, Ratnapura and Matara.

In addition, the Irrigation Department stated that the Kalu, Ging and Nilvala rivers still remain at spill level.

However, the water level of the Attanagalu Oya is declining from Dunamale area.
