The Hong Kong’s legislature has formally withdrawn a controversial extradition bill that has sparked months of unrest.

If this Draft Bill was passed in that country’s Parliament, it would have allowed for Hong Kong residents to be extradited to China, Taiwan and Macau, legally.

During the past few months Hong Kong residents engaged in protests against it and they declared that the Chinese Government was acting to restrict their legal freedom through this Act in a very surreptitious manner.
