In a statement issued by the President’s Media Division it is mentioned that information being reported on Social Media that a recent special discussion was held among family members and close associates of President Maithripala Sirisena’s is totally false.

During this instance regret has been expressed regarding some decisions made by the President during the past five years and it is said that the President will reveal to the people facts in connection with those on 18 November.

Anyhow, it is mentioned in the statement issued by the President’s Media Division that, it is a cause for regret that with only a few days to go for the Presidential Election, such false news in connection with the President is being spread by whatever faction it may be.
