Counting of votes in Kalutara district begins at the Pasdunrata National College of Education

According to the Hiru correspondent, counting of postal votes is being carried out in several districts while the transportation of the ballot boxes have been completed.

The Election Commission's Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya stated that the first election results will be released before midnight today.

Meanwhile, counting of votes in the Kalutara district is taking place at the Pasdunrata National College of Education.

Counting of votes in the Ratnapura District is happening in two centres at the Ratnapura District Secretariat and the Technical College.
