A Minister goes to prison

The Minister of Prisons and Rehabilitation Chandrasiri Gajadeera stated that a report on the incident that took place at the Magazine Prison will be handed over to him on the 31st of January.

 

Addressing a media briefing he stated that he has given a set of instructions to the investigation team to compile this report.  He added that the culprits will be given maximum penalties following the investigation.

 

The Minister conducted an inspection tour at the prison following the media briefing along with the journalists.
