The United National Party is requesting the government to solve international issues diplomatically without staging dramas.

Speaking at a media briefing that was held today in Colombo UNP Media Spokesperson MP Gayantha Karunathilaka stated that issues with the international community cropped up due to the fault of the government and not by any fault by the Opposition or the public.

Meanwhile, UNP Councilors of the Kandy Municipal Council this morning attended sessions wearing black armbands in protest of the rise in fuel prices.

Leader of the opposition in the Kandy Municipal Council Neranjan Wijeyeratne said that the government is responsible for the resolution being brought against Sri Lanka at the UN Human Rights Council.
