Minister Rishard Badiudeen speaking to our news team stated that tomorrow which is the 4th day of the 19th Human Rights Session will be important to Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi has requested the Indian Central Government not to be biased towards Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, Secretary of the Indian Pro-LTTE MDMK party Vaiko has sent a letter to Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The letter is in regard to Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe’s statement that India would support Sri Lanka at the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.

Vaiko has stated in the letter that he is greatly saddened by this statement and that if India does support Sri Lanka at the UNHRC sessions it would be a great betrayal of the Tamil people.

He further added in the letter that what India should do is reveal the real human rights situation in Sri Lanka.
