The National Freedom Front today launched a movement to create awareness among the public regarding the programme underway in Geneva against Sri Lanka.

Minister Wimal Weerawansha participating at the distribution of leaflets near the Fort Railway station today expressed these views.

Meanwhile, as the United States submitted a draft resolution in the 19th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Sri Lanka has stepped up its diplomatic offensive.

India's Hindu newspaper stated that the draft resolution on Promoting Reconciliation and Accountability in Sri Lanka, aims at promoting reconciliation and accountability and stresses on the need to implement the recommendations of the LLRC.

He had said that the resolution will have the same polarising function
as did the Ceasefire Agreement.
