Southern Army Commander to visit Sri Lanka

Southern Army Commander Lieutenant General A.K. Singh will undertake a
four day-long visit to Sri Lanka from March 12th to further bilateral
military ties between the two nations.

The Army Commander will proceed on a goodwill visit and will call on
the Chiefs of Sri Lankan armed forces and will meet the Defence
Secretary.

During the visit, General Singh will discuss issues related to mutual
cooperation, defence engagements and ways to increase military
cooperation with Sri Lanka.

Besides visiting the Defence Headquarters, Lt General Singh will also
visit the Indian Peace Keeping Force War Memorial in Colombo.
