It is not possible to predict how the vote will take place; says SL Ambassador in Geneva.

The Sri Lankan Ambassador in Geneva Thamara Kunanayagam states that the vote on the proposal put forward by the US against Sri Lanka at the 19th Session of the UN Human Rights Council will be held during the latter part of the council sessions.

Accordingly, it is expected that this vote will take place on the 22nd or 23rd of March.

The Sri Lankan Ambassador in Geneva also stated that there is no clear idea as yet with regard to the countries which support this proposal.

The Sri Lankan Ambassador engaged in a conversation with our News Team with regard to the situation which Sri Lanka faces in Geneva.
