Disruptions were caused to the budget speech for the year 2012 which was presented by the Indian President Prathiba Patel to the parliament today.
These interruptions were caused by parliamentarians of the DMK Party which is under the leadership of the Former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M. Karunanidhi pointing out the Sri Lanka-India fisheries issue.
Making interruptions to the budget speech, the DMK parliamentarians had pointed out that the President's budget speech had not referred to the fisheries issues between Indian and Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, recently the Communist Party also requested for a debate on Sri Lanka when the budget was presented.
Indian media reports pointed out that this budget could be conducted this evening.
Although there was a request from the Indian Lok Sabha last year for a debate on Sri Lanka, the Indian Parliament decided to drop it.
