DMK MPs led by former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi are scheduled to meet Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today.

NDTV says that discussions about Sri Lanka will take place during this meeting.

It also states that the debate about Sri Lanka demanded by the DMK MPs would take place in the Indian parliament today.

Meanwhile reports say that with the release of the latest Channel 4 video, the Indian Central Government has come under heavy pressure from South India

Meanwhile, participating in a discussion with NDTV, Indian Janata Party Leader Subramaniam Swamy warned India that the consequences of voting against Sri Lanka could be grave since supporting such resolutions will make India vulnerable to future resolutions on Kashmir and Manipur.
