The 02nd videotape which was prepared by British Channel 4 against Sri Lanka is scheduled to be telecast at the Geneva Human Rights Council session today.
It is reported that it will be telecast at night local time.
The British Channel 4 telecast a similar videotape at a previous instance while the ‘Independent’ newspaper which is published in Britain reported that the latest videotape includes videos of the 12 year old youngest son of the LTTE Leader Balachandran being shot at also has been included.
This report also pointed out that Kalam Makray who was the director of the videotape which was telecast by Channel 4, is also the director of the latest videotape.
However, expressing views to ‘The Hindu’ newspaper with regard to this videotape the Media Spokesperson of the President Bandula Jayasekara stated that the Sri Lankan government is prepared to respond to it after it is being telecast.
The Media Spokesperson of the President also stated that if Channel 4 telecasts a videotape which includes videos of the LTTE Leader’s youngest son was shot at, the government could release more than 1,000 videotapes which include videos of innocent civilians being shot by the LTTE cadres.
The government also has videotapes of LTTE cadres killing children and pregnant mothers.
The Media Spokesperson of the President Bandula Jayasekara had also stated to ‘The Hindu’ newspaper that the government will take measures in the future to respond to it.
