The Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Robert O. Blake states that a racial conflict could arise once again, if a solution cannot be provided to the national issue in Sri Lanka.

Engaging in an interview with the French News Service, the Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs stated that at the end of a war, solutions should be provided to the basic issues which affected it.

He pointed out that the world had witnessed the occurrence of racial issues once again in several countries which did not provide political solutions following its internal conflicts.

Accordingly Robert O. Blake pointed out that a political solution should be created within Sri Lanka immediately.
