The Katunayake Police have arrested two individuals who were engaged in a bizarre type of business.

The two men are said to have stolen women’s under-garments from a large number of female workers living around the Katunayake Free Trade Zone.

The stolen goods were then taken to remote areas and re-sold.

The two men aged 22 and 26 are residents of Maaduwa and were thought to be suffering from a mental illness.

However, investigations have revealed that the stolen goods were taken and sold in areas like Anuradhapura and Pollonnaruwa.
