The indigenous community in Sri Lanka alleges that they face several difficulties from wildlife officials in the Hen-na-nigala area.
A representative of the indigenous community stated that wildlife officials had shot one of their men yesterday.
The representative added that if the authorities do not take necessary measures they will have decided to strike.
Meanwhile, the Maduru-oya wildlife office stated that the death of a young man occurred during a shoot-out between two groups yesterday.
Officials stated that the young man had first opened fire on a group of wildlife rangers who were on a observation tour.
