The indigenous community in Sri Lanka alleges that they face several difficulties from wildlife officials in the Hen-na-nigala area.
A representative of the indigenous community stated that wildlife officials had shot one of their men yesterday.
Police media spokesperson SP Ajith Rohana stated that 3 suspects were arrested in connection to this incident and they will be presented to courts today.
Leader of the Indigenous community Uruwarige Wannila Aththo commented about this incident.
Meanwhile, the Maduru-oya wildlife office stated that the death of a young man occurred during a shoot-out between two groups yesterday.
Officials stated that the young man had first opened fire on a group of wildlife rangers who were on an observation tour.
